Gifts from the Indigenous Peoples of Malaybalay

malabalay2malaybalay

If you ever visit the majestic mountains of Bukidnon, don’t forget to visit the Lindungawan Showroom and Café in Malaybalay.

Here, you can see home-made gift items and healthy snacks made by the indigenous groups. Genuine items from the heart of the mountain, that promotes sustainable livelihood for the IP communities of Bukidnon.

To help protect the environment while providing alternative livelihood for the community, the Diocese of Malaybalay’s Indigenous Peoples Apostolate (IPA) conducted capacity-building and skills training to harness the gifts of IPs passed down from generation to generation.

The organization promotes Forest Sustainability through development and management of non-timber forest products (NTFPs), which serves as income generating activity for the community.
