Who would have thought that our defective electronic gadgets at home would be accepted as tickets to a concert?
This is the exact concept of Philippine Misereor Partnership, Incorporated (PMPI) and UP Circuit as they invite us to “Ikot Metal”, an advocacy concert for electronic scrap recycling, on May 29 at the UP Diliman Bahay ng Alumni.
The concert’s performers are top billed by Tres Marias, the trio of Color It Red vocalist Cooky Chua, Lolita Carbon of the folk rock group Asin, and world music singer Bayang Barrios.
The event will also feature performances from Coffebreak Island, Jeepney Joyride, Republicats, Kampai, Kulay, and several UP-based groups.
Those who do not have any electronic scraps need not to worry as the organizers will sell event shirts with free tickets at the venue for Php200.
