#PMPIpartneractivity – Homonhon Environmental Advocates and Rights Defender Incorporated (HEARD)
The local community of Brgy. Cagusuan, Pagbabangnan, and Casuguran came together to attend an information education campaign and awareness event organized by the members of Homonhon Environmental Advocates and Rights Defender Incorporated (HEARD) about the proposed expansion of the Nickel Ace Lateritec Project in the area.
A discussion was held on topics of environmental degradation, community displacement, and health risks associated with mining activities. Participants had the opportunity to voice their concerns, ask questions, and share their personal experiences related to mining projects. In the end, the HEARD members demonstrated a silent protest to state the community’s message to protect their natural resources and ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.
