#RIGHTS OF NATURE ORIENTATION
PMPI National Coordinator Ms. Yolanda Esguerra recently attended the NAPC Mindanao Regional Assembly to give a Rights of Nature Orientation to almost 80 members coming from the NAPC-VDC or National Anti Poverty Commission Victims of Disaster Sectoral Council Meeting and the NAPC Non-Government Organization Council group.
Vulnerable sectors often bear the brunt of environmental harm, such as pollution, deforestation, and resource depletion. And thru a Rights of Nature orientation, it will help level the playing field and ensure that they have a voice in decisions affecting their environment.
The orientation is also a step towards achieving environmental and social equity as they become active participants and advocates for the preservation and restoration of nature for the benefit of all.
