The 1st PMPI Focal Organization – Sites of Struggle (FO-SOS) Conference of the Year started last Aug. 14, 2023, in the province of Antique. Representatives from partner communities known as Sites of Struggles (SOS) and their corresponding Focal Organizations (FO) will present at the conference.
The participating FO-SOS are IFI/PIPCA, ZEN, Inc., MACEC, HEARD, PROMISI, SAC Dipolog, DSAC-Mati with MMSAID and KAKK, SAC-Marbel, and ZSEED, Inc. will be discussing key activities, achievements, and hurdles encountered during the past two quarters of 2023.
Participants will also be receiving important updates on significant ongoing projects from the PMPI National Secretariat including Rights of Nature Campaign, AMC thematic concern. An orientation on proposal making with Mr. Aivan Herzano as Resource Person, and a Training Needs Assessment will also be given to the participants.
The bi-annual PMPI FO-SOS Conference serves as a crucial platform for building camaraderie and improving coordination between FO-SOS representatives, through fostering a supportive atmosphere for sharing experiences, insights, and knowledge.
